CNC Turning and Precision Shaft Services at C & R Manufacturing
C & R Manufacturing specializes in CNC turning to produce parts such as axles, shafts, turbo charger housings, woodworking cutters, valve stems, pulleys, gear blanks. Our tool room features CNC lathes with additional steady rest that can produce ID and OD TIR's (Total Indicator Runout) within .0002. We can handle shafts from 1/4" to 12" in diameter and up to 60" long, with live tooling.
C & R Manufacturing ensures high quality precision shafts and turned parts by using CNC turning equipment with live tooling that allows less handling of the parts. Robotic inspection measures multiple diameters to 10 millionths accuracy and communicates with the machine tool to insure conformability.
Bar Feed, automatic gaging and robotic part handling can take a shaft from raw bar stock to the finished piece without human intervention. System maintains a 0.0003" deviation tolerance and places out of tolerance parts in a separate container.
